Venice Arts Connects Young Creatives to Careers in Media Arts

Founded in 1993, Venice Arts’ mission is to ignite, expand, and transform the lives of Los Angeles’ low-income youth through photography and film education, and use participatory storytelling practices to amplify the voices of underrepresented communities around the world. A 2023 California Nonprofit of the Year, Venice Arts serves over 450 low-income young people each year through Media Arts Mentoring & Education, their oldest and largest program serving youth ages 8-18; the Center for Creative Workforce Equity, developing workplace skills and placement opportunities for young adults, ages 18-24; and the Gallery and Public Programs, which engage community through exhibitions, screenings, and public programs.

Upcoming Opportunities at Venice Arts:

Venice Arts is seeking a creative and passionate Lead Teacher to lead its Photo Portraits workshop during this summer’s Media Arts Camp. This hands-on teaching opportunity is ideal for photographers and visual storytellers excited to work with high school youth in an engaging, community-centered environment.
