Girls Make Beats is on a mission to close the gender gap in Music Education and Technology. Girls Make Beats seeks to empower girls ages 5 to 17 by expanding the female presence of music producers, DJs, and audio engineers. The organization provides music technology education, leadership development, events, and mentorship to help prepare girls with the necessary tools and knowledge to successfully navigate and build successful careers in the music industry. GMB programs have served over 1,300 girls across the country and around the world since 2012!
Just last year, Girls Make Beats collaborated with Paramount Pictures to DJ at the SMURFS official movie premiere. The girls created the ultimate soundtrack to the Smurfs' big day out. From pop hits to feel-good vibes, the GMB crew showed just how powerful young female DJs can be behind the decks.
