Oliver, 16, is a La Crescenta-based filmmaker proving you’re never too young to tell stories that stick. A film student at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, he creates emotionally driven short films that explore human nature — and they’re already getting noticed. His latest film, Lucid, was accepted into the All-American High School Film Festival and will screen at the AMC theater in Times Square. Oliver’s secret? He traded “winging it” for detailed shot lists and thoughtful pre-production. His advice for fellow young creatives: Find the spark that keeps you creating, and let that be your guide.
