Her standout project, The Waypass, imagines a smarter crosswalk system using sensors and machine learning to adjust signal timing in real time so elderly and disabled pedestrians can cross safely without bringing LA traffic to a halt. Aino’s creative philosophy is simple but bold: Be radically yourself and build things until they’re real. That mindset has already shaped her path — including walking away from a stable internship at Will.i.am’s FYI after just three months to take a leap with a startup agency that aligned more with her vision.
